Is there an area of your life — stress mastery, health care, nutrition, exercise, spirituality, life purpose — that needs immediate attention?
I have the lifelong intention of growing, expanding, and becoming more light-filled in ways that will benefit myself and the web of life. Awareness, mindfulness, compassion, and consciousness are a big part of my personal development work. The type of wellness coaching I offer entails being empowered to make desired, healthy lifestyle changes through a mode of extreme self care and conscious awareness with compassion and without judgment. This ultimately brings about a greater harmony (“sattva”) and happiness in life. Harnessing priorities that inspire intrinsically like personal growth, relationships, and service can bring about remarkable changes.
Coaching and healing is about forward movement in one’s life to bring about positive and long lasting change and coming back home to who we truly are. Who is it that you are meant to be? What, who when and where are you meant to be serving? Are there areas of your life you would like to be more successful in? I regularly ask myself these questions and others. I then call in Divine help, show up to do the work, and surround myself with those who support me on this journey of Life. I find purpose and great joy assisting others in creating a life that is congruent to their authentic selves. It is all within YOU; it is just a matter of re-discovering it!
I have always enjoyed working directly with people, nature, and animals. The type of mind-body-spirit work I offer — health coaching and energy work — is custom tailored to each person I work with. My role is to help facilitate bringing forth the “power, strengths, and inner wisdom” specific to YOU.
My first career after completing my Master in Social Work evolved into a licensed clinical Social Worker. Besides being a therapist and special needs adoption social worker, the last social work position I held was at Helpline House here on Bainbridge Island. Having been in social work I recognized a need for a holistic integrative approach to support lasting change in one’s life. I have always operated from a “strengths perspective” seeing people as whole, healed, divine beings, with strengths that can propel them to where and who they want to be. My passions of wellness and self-empowerment are partly what led me to this coaching and healing practice.
My journey towards optimal wellness became more intentional 23 years ago after my son was born. Before that I had neglected my internal well being and self care, so I woke up. Becoming a holistic health coach, yoga and qigong instructor, and energy healer transpired from a “dark night of the soul” in my own life. At one point I was challenged with having bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy, a torn meniscus, candida overgrowth, a severe B12 deficiency, and adrenal fatigue — all overlapping in the same year! As I was healing my body from each of these layers, I also healed and rewired my mind and ultimately renewed my spirit. With every thought there is a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual impact. Since then I continue to practice mindful self compassion, deeper self love, and be a life long learner for transformational healing modalities.
I believe that health, wholeness, re-patterning, and healing are accessible to everyone. Being a Board Certified Coach (BCC) means that my work is accredited and validated by an outside body and that I adhere to a strong Code of Ethics.
